John Teerlinck (born 1951) is a former American football player. He now is a defensive linemen coach for the Indianapolis Colts.

Coaching Career

Controversy

Teerlinck came under fire in 1996 amid allegations that he taught his players to aim for opposing quarterbacks' knees; the allegations were substantial enough that then-NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue summoned him to a meeting for a warning.[1]

Honors

Teerlinck has coached on three Super Bowl winners:
Denver Broncos: Super Bowl XXXII, Super Bowl XXXIII
Indianapolis Colts: Super Bowl XLI

Family

Teerlinck and his wife, Sue, have five children, Ann, Bill, Mark, Molly and Mary.
