John Sumegi (born 27 October 1954) is an Australian flatwater canoer who competed from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a silver medal in the K-1 500 m event at Moscow in 1980.
Sumegi also won a silver medal in the K-1 500 m event at the 1979 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg.
