John R. Milton

John R. Milton (May 24, 1924 Anoka, Minnesota - January 28, 1995) was an American writer, and editor of South Dakota Review.
Life
He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA and MA in 1951, and from the University of Denver, with a Ph.D. He taught at Augsburg College from 1949–1956, Jamestown College, and at the University of South Dakota from 1963 to 1995.
A biennual conference is named for him.[1]
His papers are held at the University of South Dakota.[2] He married Lynn Hinderlie on August 3, 1946; they had one daughter, Nanci.
