John R. Evans is a former Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He represented the 5th District from 2001 through 2013. Evans' district consists of parts of Erie County including Edinboro and Washington Township, as well as most of western Crawford County.
Evans is a graduate of Linesville High School. He holds a degree in communications form Edinboro University. After college, he briefly worked for Erie Insurance. Then, after a successful internship, he went on to become the sportscaster at WJET-TV in Erie.
