John McKim

John McKim (July 17, 1852-April 4, 1936) was Anglican Bishop of North Tokyo. Following education at Griswold College and Nashotah House Theological Seminary, he was ordained to the diaconate and priesthood. He began missionary work in Japan in 1880, and was consecrated Bishop of North Tokyo on June 14, 1893.
Bishop McKim, together with the Bishop of South Tokyo, Edward Bickersteth participated in the Fourth Lambeth Conference at Canterbury in 1897.
Bishop McKim retired to Honolulu in November, 1935.
Bishop McKim married twice: first to Ellen Augusta Cole on September 16, 1879, who died on October 17, 1915; and second to Elizabeth Baird on May 4, 1924.
