John D. Rice

John D. Rice was a politician in Wisconsin. Rice, a native of Sparta, Wisconsin, was a delegate to the 1948 Democratic National Convention.[1] In 1948, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly, losing to Alex L. Nicol. Rice became a member of the Democratic State Central Committee in 1954. Later, he ran for the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district in 1966. He lost to incumbent Vernon Wallace Thomson.
