John D. Keenan (born April 4, 1965) is the Massachusetts State Representative for the 7th Essex district, which consists of his hometown of Salem. He is a Democrat who has served since 2005. Prior to serving in the Massachusetts legislature, he was assistant district attorney of Essex County and city solicitor of Salem.

Representative Keenan is currently[2013-2014] the House Vice Chair of Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy.
