John Bruce Coghill, Jr. is a Republican member of the Alaska Senate, appointed to represent district F in 2009. He has been the Senate Majority Leader since January 2013.
Cohgill was first elected to the legislature as a state representative for district 32 in 1998.[1][2] He served for 5 years in the United States Air Force and reached the rank of staff sergeant.[3]
Personal life
Coghill is the son of former Lieutenant Governor of Alaska Jack Coghill.
Coghill has a wife, Luann, and three children, Shaun (John), Joshua & Jayme, and four grandchildren. Coghill graduated from Nenana Public High School in 1968.[4]
