John’s Incredible Pizza Company is an American all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant and entertainment business founded by John Parlet in 1997.[1] There are nine locations throughout California,[2][3][4][5][6][7] and one in Beaverton, Oregon.[8][9] Its corporate office is located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.[10] In 2008 John's received the Emerging Growth Award, from the Orange County chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.[11]

Food and drink

John's requires a buffet purchase to enter the restaurant and has an all-you-can-eat buffet which includes pizza, pasta, soup, salad and dessert. Drinks are ordered separately. John's has twenty types of pizzas and are known for their unusual pizza offerings including Spicy Peanut Butter, Macaroni and Cheese, Cheeseburger and Garlic Pesto. Diners can order their own pizza, picking from any of their multiple toppings, and pastas, soups, vegetables, fruits, and dressings. The desserts served are chocolate cake slices, Red Velvet cake slices, cheesecake slices, apple crisps, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, donuts, brownies, rice crispies, ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, or both; on a cone or cup, and many toppings).

Themed dining rooms

Each John’s location is approximately 60,000 square feet[12] and has five or six themed dining rooms depending on location.

  • Cabin Fever is similar to a Lake Tahoe-style environment with pine chairs, log covered walls and a fireplace.
  • Toon Time Theatre plays cartoons on the television and projection screens throughout the room.
  • Hall of Fame is like a sports bar with team memorabilia and games on the big-screen televisions.
  • Vertical Room is an extreme sports room where the customer can watch motocross racing, extreme golf, surfing or snowboarding.
  • Fusion Room, or the retreat room, is a room that plays music videos. The Fusion dining room can accommodate meetings by becoming a private room with a large projector screen and laptop links for presentations.
  • The Veranda Room is an adult-centered tropical-themed dining room that presents a resort-like atmosphere with windows and wood furnishings.[13]

Games and rides

John's offers traditional video arcade games and modern games that dispense tickets that can be used to redeem prizes. John's has amusement rides, such as adult-sized bumper cars, small child roller coasters, stringed-up bowling, a free falling Frog Hopper ride, a spinning Twister ride, tea cups, and a speedway go-cart track. Each location varies in terms of rides and attractions. To go on the rides or play the games, Fun World Credits on a FunCard are needed. The FunCard stores credits and is swiped at each of the games or attractions. Tickets can be saved on the FunCard, allowing people to avoid carrying multiple tickets around.[14]

Parties

Private parties or events can be held at John’s with semi-private party rooms(usually one long room with accordion separation doors and one long window wall with doors to enter/exit each 'room'). Guests are waited on by party hosts. The party goers receive balloon animals, John's bouncy balls and play multiple games such as limbo, or hot potato.
