Johann Fauveau (born March 15, 1984), is a French Muay Thai kickboxer, famous for his boxing skills and his heart. He is three times French Muaythai Champion.[1]
Early life
Johann Fauveau is Jewish. His nickname "Young Perez" is reference to Victor Perez, a Jewish Tunisian boxer killed in The Holocaust. Fauveau's grandfather, who was friends with Perez and a boxing fan, got him into martial arts at an early age and he began training in karate initially before switching to boxing and Muay Thai.[2]

Johann was born in 1984 in Asnières. Close to his grandfather, a boxing fan and friend of the great champion Victor Young Perez He keeps telling her little son's courage and determination of this man. His picture is present in the room where Johann grows. Some years pass. Johann began karate. Then, from the top of its 10 years, he goes to a boxing gym : that of Andre Zeitoun (or Team Zeitoun). He observed great champions such as Jean-Charles Skarbowsky. The sport he likes.
So he tries again to the letter the movements he had seen. Sometimes he gets the opportunity to train, but nothing serious. Then 7 years later, Johann affirmed. He puts on shorts and starts wanting to train seriously. At first, it is not easy, but he was immediately taken in hand by Andre Zeitoun who sees in him a hope of success. So it does not let go. Johann progresses rapidly and then dream to fight one day.
So, to improve, he leaves six months in Thailand where he discovers that culture is passionate about. He returned to Paris and began to fight. He chained the victories.
Early career
He is three times French Muaythai Champion. It counts 25 fights for 22 wins (including 15 by knockout), 2 defeats and 1 draw in Muaythai. He fought also in Boxing, 4 fights for 3 wins (including 2 by knockout) and 1 draw.
He faced Ludovic Millet for the ISKA World Super Welterweight (-69.5 kg/153.2 lb) Oriental Championship in Meaux, France on January 19, 2013, losing on points.[3][4]
Fauveau was set to fight Abdallah Mabel at Warriors Night in Levallois, France on March 2, 2013 but later withdrew.[5]
He was set to go up against Warren Stevelmans at Glory 5: London on March 23, 2013 in London, England.[6] However, when Andy Ristie was unable to fight in the event's co-main event against Albert Kraus, Stevelmans took his place and Costel Pașniciuc was drafted in as Fauveau's new opponent on one day's notice.[7] Fauveau won by unanimous decision.[8][9]
He was stopped with low kicks in round three by Hinata at Glory 10: Los Angeles - Middleweight World Championship Tournament in Ontario, California, United States on September 28, 2013.[10][11][12]
