Joey Patrick San Nicolas is the current Attorney General of the Northern Mariana Islands. He was unanimously confirmed by the Senate on his native Tinian on November 16, 2012, and sworn in later that day.[2] He succeeded acting Attorney General Viola Alepuyo, who was appointed after Edward Buckingham fled the island in scandal.
