Joey Mente (born February 24, 1976 in Northern Samar, Philippines) is a former professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association who last played for the Welcoat Dragons. He was drafted 6th overall by San Miguel in 2001.

Player Profile

Mente was the first played for the Iloilo Volts standout in the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association during the maiden season of the league. The team renamed Megavoltz in 1999 season for his former teammate Vince Hizon where he last played until 2000.

Mente was drafted by the San Miguel Beermen and played there from 2001-05. He participated in the 2001 PBA Slam dunk Contest, which he won. In the 2006-07 PBA season, he only played 20 games for Welcoat in the 2006-07 PBA season and averaged 8.3 points per game 2.6 rebounds per game and 1.7 assists per game.
