Joseph "Joe" Purzycki (born February 20, 1947) was a college football head coach for Delaware State University and James Madison University between 1981 and 1990. Purzycki was the first white man to ever be named a head football coach at an historically black college, which occurred when he was elected Delaware State's newest head coach in 1981.
