Joseph Medjuck (born February 17, 1943) is a Canadian-born film producer in Hollywood.

Life and career

Medjuck was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He is a graduate of McGill University, and the University of Toronto where he also taught for twelve years (while also contributing regularly to the film magazine Take One). At the request of friend and fellow Canadian Ivan Reitman, he moved to Los Angeles in 1981 to work as associate producer on the film Stripes. In 1986, he served as executive producer for the first time on Legal Eagles, again working with Ivan Reitman who directed and produced the film.

Other films he has produced include Old School, EuroTrip, Ghostbusters, and No Strings Attached. In addition to film work, Medjuck has been an associate producer on Broadway.

Medjuck lives in Santa Barbara, California, USA with wife Laurie Deans, daughter Emma, and son Thaddeus. In 2009, Joseph Medjuck was awarded an honorary degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University), Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa.
