Joe Mavrinac

Joe Mavrinac is a former mayor of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and the longest serving, having been mayor between 1979 and 1997.[1]As of 2010, Mavrinac is living at the Port Credit, Ontario Regency Retirement Residence retirement home.[2]The Joe Mavrinac Community Complex was named in his honour. He ran unsuccessfully as a candidate in the 1962 federal election and the 1967 Ontario provincial election.[3] He was married to Millie Podnar with whom he had two daughters.[4]
