Joseph Miles "Joe" Luginbill (born July 14 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin) is an American businessman and public servant .[1] He is the Director of Member and Community Services for the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association[2][3][4] and a governing member of the Eau Claire County Industrial Development Agency.[5][6][7] In 2012, Luginbill was the CEO and President of Luginbill Omnimedia and host of "The Joe Luginbill Show" on Los Angeles Talk Radio.[8][9]
Biography
In the summer of 2012, Luginbill started posting lifestyle and entertainment shows on YouTube. He gained widespread attention after his video of August 15, 2012 (in honor of what would have been television personality Julia Child's 100th birthday) got more than 1.3 million views.[10] Luginbill was offered a talk radio show in September 2012, and the contract was renewed in January 2013. The show was primarily focused on politics and business.[11][12]
Luginbill attended the Chippewa Valley Technical College.[8] In October 2012, he and several partnering investors announced the launch of his namesake company, Luginbill Omnimedia which served as a public relations firm through his endorsements with Mega Foods, Silver Spring Foods, and Alli.[13][14] In 2013, Luginbill rejected an offer for a national cable television talk show in Los Angeles worth more than one million dollars.[15] Luginbill said his choice also was about a desire to do something meaningful with his life and his desire to serve the public.[16] He stated, "I want to serve this community.. I want my life to be about doing something rather than being something, and I want to do whatever that is right here in Eau Claire.”[17]
