Joan Tomàs Campasol, known as Joan Tomàs (born 17 May 1985 in Girona, Catalonia), is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for AEK Larnaca F.C. in Cyprus. Mainly a left winger, he can also operate as a striker.
Football career
After unsuccessfully graduating from RCD Espanyol's youth ranks, Tomàs moved to neighbours UE Lleida in the third division. After one year with Alicante CF in the same category, as the season ended in promotion to the second level, he joined Villarreal CF.
Even though already 23, Tomàs spent over a year registered with the B-side, and made his first-team – and La Liga – debut on 1 February 2009, in a 0–3 away loss against Deportivo de La Coruña. During the 2008–09 campaign, also, he was one of the most important elements for the B's as they eventually achieved a first-ever promotion to division two.
In the 2010 summer Joan Tomás left Villarreal and signed for Celta de Vigo, in the second division.[1]
