Joanne Louise (Jo) Silvagni (née Bailey, born 10 March 1970) is an Australian model and television personality.
Career
Silvagni was educated at Tintern Girls Grammar School, outside of Melbourne, and Methodist Ladies' College, Melbourne. She completed degrees in accounting and marketing at RMIT University and Swinburne University of Technology respectively, and was employed as an auditor at Price Waterhouse before starting her television career.[1]
Jo made a name for herself from 1991 to 1993, as the co-host on Australian game show Sale of the Century[1] and after she left the game show, the Channel 9 lifestyle program Looking Good. She was also the first female anchor for Foxtel's Entertainment News in the late 1990s. She is known today for her promotional work and has appeared on advertisements for Zoot Review, Berkowitz furniture plus others in recent years.[2] She is married to former Carlton footballer Stephen Silvagni, with whom she has three sons—Jack (born December 1997), Ben (born May 2000) and Tom (born September 2002).[3] For several years after her marriage in 1996, she was still known in the media as Jo Bailey, although she is now known by her married name, Jo Silvagni.
She is one of the promotional faces of Auskick, a junior development program for the Australian Football League. The Silvagni children also participate in the program.[4]
In January 2014, Silvagni joined the Seven Network to present the weather on Seven News in Melbourne whilst Giaan Rooney is on maternity leave. [5]
