James "Jim" Sutherland (August 20, 1914 – June 1980) was an American football coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Sutherland was the 21st head football coach for the Washington State University Cougars located in Pullman, Washington and he held that position for eight seasons, from 1956 until 1963.[1][2] His coaching record at Washington State was 37 wins, 39 losses, and 4 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him fourth at Washington State in total wins and 21st at Washington State in winning percentage (.488).[3]
