James ("Jim") F. Doehring (born 27 January 1962, in Santa Barbara, California) was an American athlete who mainly competed in the shot put.
He competed for the United States at the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain where he won the silver medal in the men's shot put. At the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships, he won again the silver medal in the men's shot put. Previously he finished in eleventh place at the 1988 Summer Olympics, and later he tested positive for a banned steroids.
