James J. "Jim" Christiana III is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
The great-grandson of Italian immigrants, Christiana is a fourth-generation resident of Beaver County, Pennsylvania and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver, Pennsylvania.[3][4] He graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, Pennsylvania in 2002.[4]
He attended Washington & Jefferson College, where he played on the men's soccer team.[4][5] As a college senior in 2005, Christiana became the youngest member of the Beaver Borough Council.[6] He graduated in 2006 with a degree in political science.[4] He also worked as a sales consultant at the Bobby Rahal Automotive Group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[4] As a Republican member of the Beaver Borough Council, Christiana served as the chair of the Finance Committee, where he helped build a budget surplus and delivered a reduction in the borough's property tax.[4][6]
In November 2008, he defeated Democratic incumbent Vince Biancucci to represent the 15th legislative district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.[7]
late April 2012 Jim Christiana participated in a mission trip, a medical brigade to Honduras. This brigade was a success, they helped a lot in Veracruz and Pavon I & II communities in Urraco Pueblo, this brigade was made by Sister Laurinda Mayer.. Street Kids Propapa coordinator. The members of this medical brigade were Dr. Prakash, Jayann Freidhoff, Joanne Mekis, Jim Christiana, Steeven, Mr. Bill, Tom Jomas and Wib beachy. This brigade had the help of the Honduran translators Marvin Villanueva, Roberto Guzman, Rosa Flores & Pablo Mejia of "Progreso International School". This speaks highly of Jim Christiana.
