Jim Baron (born March 20, 1954) is an American college basketball coach for the Canisius College Golden Griffins men's team. He previously held the same position at Saint Francis University, St. Bonaventure University and the University of Rhode Island.
Baron had a 20-season stint as coach in the Atlantic 10 Conference, between nine seasons at St. Bonaventure and eleven seasons at Rhode Island. In April 2010, he agreed with Rhode Island to a contract extension through the 2013–14 season.[1] However, after a 7–24 season and a second-to-last place conference finish in 2011–12, the university terminated his contract.[2][3]
