Jhinjhana is a town and a nagar panchayat in Shamli district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Geography

Jhinjhana is located at 29°31′N 77°13′E / 29.52°N 77.22°E / 29.52; 77.22.^[1] It has an average elevation of 243 metres (797 feet).

The town now has got two intermediate colleges, an engineering college and several private schools. Jhinjhana is surrounded by small villages, like SIKENDAR PUR, Laprana, PirKhera, Bidoli, Patani Pratap Pur, UNN, Singra, Kertu, Gogwan etc. The village folks normally are farmers and grow a lot of Sugar Cane, Wheat, Rice and Vegetables. Jhinjhana is near UP and Haryana State border. JHINHANA Police Station area is very large in Shamli Distt. Jhinjhana is a India city located at latitude and longitude of 29° 31' 0" N / 77° 13' 0" E.

Mushir Jhinjhanwi a well known Urdu Poet also belongs to this town. The Town is full of historical buildings such as the NEELA ROZA, a historical mosque built in the Mughal era. There is a Mazar-e-shareef of Hazrat Shah Abdul Razzaq adjacent to Neela Roza. The town has contributed a lot to the development of the country and has produced some very fine mind. Praveen Kumar(cricketer) is of vill. Laprana(Jhinjhana).He played his cricket at RSS ground,JHINJHANA and IMAM SAHAB, JHINJHANA ground. PK family members lives there. Anushka sharma(actress) is also of Jhinjhana, earlier days her family used to live in Jhinjhana. Shreyank Singhal is lives also here near R.S.S ground . Yogendra Rathi also live in Jhinjhana & Working as a Senior Project Lead in a well known IT Company of Noida. Ashutaosh Sharma also live in Jhinjhana & Working as a Senior Software Engineer in a well known IT Company of Noida.
