Jhinjhak is a town and a nagar panchayat in Ramabai Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The town is situated on the banks of Ram Ganga canal. There are two major towns Jhinjhak and Rura in the Kanpur Dehat (rural) district and is connected by fast route of Howrah-Delhi railway line. It has primary and secondary schools, two government intermediate colleges and three Degree Colleges affiliated to Chhatrapati

Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur to provide both sciences and arts education. The nearby cities are Kanpur (60 km) towards the East and Etawah (90 km) towards the West. The district headquarter is nearly 35 km away at Akbarpur-Matiis a town and a nagar panchayat in Kanpur Dehat district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It has an average elevation of 131 metres (429 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Jhinjhak had a population of 20,406. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Jhinjhak has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 63%. In Jhinjhak, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.[1]near jhinjhak khamhaila is a village which have second most population in the kanpur dehat district. jhinjhak basically divided into two parts by ramganga bridge one is dwarika ganj which is north part of jhinjhak and other is south part.
