Jhamie Hyde (born 21 December 1992 in Kingston) is a Jamaican soccer player who currently plays for Harbour View F.C..

Career

Hyde played in the Jamaican High School Championship semifinals at the U-14 level with Kingston College before joining the school's U-19 senior team in the age from fifteen, he won formerly the U-12 Jamaican school championship with Vaz Preparatory School. He played soccer on youthside for Meadhaven United in the 2004–05 season and signed in 2006 for Harbour View F.C. and played with the team in Jamaica's U-21 Youth Development League.[1] Hyde featured for the Vancouver Residency squad in the 2010 Dallas Cup playing in two official matches.[2] He left Canada in April from his club Vancouver Whitecaps Residency to join in the Nebraska-based Capital Soccer Academy.

International career

Hyde is a member of the Jamaica Under-17 squad[3] and holds five games.[4] Hyde also made three appearances for the Jamaican U20 squad in 2010-2011.

Personal life

He was born Jamaican capital of Kingston and grew up in West Kingston. He attended studied at Kingston College since 2005 and formerly was a student at Vaz Preparatory School in Kingston. His father Lenny "Teacher" Hyde, is currently the Head Coach of Humble Lions F.C., his mother is a school teacher in Jamaica and his brother, Lenny Hyde, Jr. plays for Humble Lions F.C..[5]
