Jetico Personal Firewall, is a firewall developed by Jetico, Incorporated. Jetico is known for its development of encryption products.[citation needed]

Features

Similar to most software firewalls, Jetico Personal Firewall can enforce application specific network rules. Jetico Personal Firewall also monitors processes for malicious code injection, checks the validity of network packets and parameters, and log network activity.

Version history

Version 1.0

Version 1 supports Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, and XP.

Version 1.0.1.47 was chosen to be released to the public on December 30, 2004, after several beta and release candidates versions. As of August 1, 2006, development for Jetico Personal Firewall version 1 was halted.[1]

Version 2.0

Jetico Personal Firewall Version 2 supports both 32 and 64 bit editions of Windows 2000, 2003 Server, XP, and Vista.

Version 2.0.0.30 was released to the public on April 23, 2007.

Version 2 operates as a privileged Windows service, allowing it to function before user login. It adds support for Fast User Switching and Terminal Services. Version 2 also integrates with the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Security Center.[2]
