Jerzu, Iertzu in sardinian language, is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ogliastra in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 70 km northeast of Cagliari and about 20 km southwest of Tortolì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,287 and an area of 102.5 km².[1] Jerzu is known for the production of a particular type of wine, called Cannonau di Jerzu.
Jerzu borders the following municipalities: Arzana, Cardedu, Gairo, Lanusei, Osini, Tertenia, Ulassai, Villaputzu.
