Jeff McMahan (politician)

Jeff A. McMahan, CFE, is an American Democratic politician from the US state of Oklahoma. He served as Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector from 2003 until his resignation in June, 2008.
On Friday January 18, 2008 McMahan, along with his wife, was indicted by a Federal grand jury for accepting improper cash and gifts from an Oklahoma businessman.[1] On Saturday June 14, 2008 a federal jury convicted McMahan and his wife, Lori McMahan, on one count of conspiracy and two counts in violation of the Travel Act, prohibiting interstate travel in support of racketeering).[2] Following his conviction, he resigned as State Auditor and Inspector, and was succeeded in office by Steve Burrage.
