Jean Welter

Jean Welter (born May 2 1901, date of death unknown) was a Luxembourgian boxer who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics and in the 1928 Summer Olympics.

In 1924 he was eliminated in the second round of the light heavyweight class after losing his fight to Tom Kirby.

Four years later he was eliminated in the first round of the light heavyweight division when he lost his fight to Donald Carrick.

He was the father of Jean Welter, Jr. who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1952 Summer Olympics also as a boxer.
