Jaworzyna Śląska [javɔˈʐɨna ˈɕlɔ̃ska] (German: Königszelt, Latin: Sycomoria Silesiana ) is a town in Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Jaworzyna Śląska. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. (For more information about the history of the region, see Silesia)
The town lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Świdnica, and 49 kilometres (30 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. It is an important railroad junction, located along the major line from Wrocław to Wałbrzych. In Jaworzyna, this line crosses with less important connections to Strzegom and Kamieniec Zabkowicki.
In 2006, the town had a population of 5,240.
During the hot summer months locals often swim in the town lake. A large porcelain factory is the town's largest employer.
