Jason C. Yuan (Chinese: 袁健生; pinyin: Yuán Jiànshēng) was the chief representative of the Republic of China to the United States as the head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Washington, DC.[1] He was appointed to that position in July 2008 by President Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) to succeed Joseph Wu, who had been appointed by the previous administration.[2] TECRO has the function of an embassy but not that title due to the political status of Taiwan.
