Jason Bryan Mooney (born 26 February 1989) is an Northern Irish professional football goalkeeper who plays for League One side Tranmere Rovers.
Playing career
Mooney worked as a gardener and barman and played in Northern Ireland for Ards, Bangor, Ards Rangers and Comber Recreation, before joining English club Wycombe Wanderers after impressing during a two month trial in 2011.[2][3] He spent the 2011–12 season on loan at Southern League side Oxford City, and helped the club to win promotion into the Conference North with a 4–2 play-off final victory over AFC Totton.[2][4] However he was released by Wycombe in May 2012.[5] He signed with Tranmere Rovers in July 2012.[6] He made his debut in the Football League on 27 April 2013, in a 0–0 draw with Bournemouth at Prenton Park – his clean sheet helped to deny the visitors the League One title on the last day of the 2012–13 season.[7]
