Career
Around the end of 2001, he was the first artist to be signed to Resonate Records, an INO Records partnership with Sonicflood's lead vocalist Rick Heil.[3] He subsequently released his self-titled debut album, Jason Ingram, on March 5, 2002.[3][4]
Since 2003, Ingram has been the lead vocalist of Christian pop rock band The Longing.[5] Jason is currently the lead Vocalist for the band "One Sonic Society"
Songwriting
Ingram has written songs for many contemporary Christian music artists—most notably, he has penned hit songs such as Bebo Norman's "I Will Lift My Eyes" and Salvador's "Shine".[6] At the annual SESAC Awards, held in Nashville on March 5, 2007, Ingram received the "Christian Songwriter of the Year" award.[6] After receiving the honor, he told Billboard, "I had no idea, it never crossed my mind. I am so thrilled. You write and you hope the songs affect people and get out there. It's cool when you see that really happens".[6]
He co-wrote three tracks on Brandon Heath's second album What If We, including the hit "Give Me Your Eyes" which won two GMA Dove Awards in 2009.[7][8]
He also co-wrote songs for Tenth Avenue North, including the former rank 4 song on Christian Billboard Charts, Healing Begins. [9]
Recently Ingram co-wrote "One Day" with Nick Jonas and Dan Muckala for pop artists Charice.[10] The song is being used by AcuVue for a promotion called "AcuVue 1-day".[11]
