Jaridih Bazar is a census town in Bokaro district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
Geography
Jaridih Bazar is located at 23°45′50″N 85°55′46″E / 23.7637600°N 85.9295730°E.
It is on the banks of Damodar River, a little above its point of confluence with Konar River.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Jaridih Bazar had a population of 30,091. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Jaridih Bazar has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 53%. In Jaridih Bazar, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Economy
Most of the people here are engage in wholesale business and keep their children to study outside the state.
