Janowo [jaˈnɔvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Sorkwity, within Mrągowo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Sorkwity, 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Mrągowo, and 47 km (29 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
