Janowice Wielkie [janɔˈvit͡sɛ ˈvjɛlkʲɛ] (German: Jannowitz) is a village in Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Janowice Wielkie. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) east of Jelenia Góra and 84 km (52 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The village has a population of 2,100.
