Jankowice [jankɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Srokowo, within Kętrzyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Srokowo, 14 km (9 mi) north of Kętrzyn, and 78 km (48 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
