Janice de Belen is a Filipina actress, commercial model and television host[1] who was a GMA Network contract artist. She returns to ABS-CBN via Budoy.[2]
She is currently part of ABS-CBN contract actresses.
Early life
Janice Catherine Yap de Belen was born November 9, 1968 to Philip de Belen and the former Susan Yap. She has a younger sister Gelli who is also an actress. At the age of nine, she became a newscaster for the RPN 9's Newswatch Junior Edition. She got her biggest break from the same channel when she got the lead role in the soap opera Flordeluna A Top Rating Phenomonal TV Soap that ran from 1980-1985 it was also remade by ABS-CBN in 2007 and used the concept from Loida Virina. Janice is also known for becoming the 80s Teen Drama Princesses alongside the late Julie Vega who was also her co star in a couple 80s films. Janice is also known for having a longtime relationship and ex-husband John Estrada . In 2001-2010 for the last 8 years she has hosted the now defunct popular Morning Talk Show Sis with sister Gelli De Belen and Carmina Villaroel. In 2011-2012 she starred in the Top-Acclaimed TV Series Budoy she currently stars in the TV Adaptation of Ina, Kapatid, Anak which airs on ABS-CBNs Primetime Bida Block and airs Worldwide through TFC 2012–Present. She also Co-Hosts Showbiz Inside Report from February 2012 - October 2013.
