Jangipur or Zangipur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Ghazipur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Jangipur had a population of 11,100. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Jangipur has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 47%. In Jangipur, 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.

It is just 11 km away from the Ghazipur city. It is located on the NH-29 (Varanasi–Ghazipur–Gorakhpur)and Ghazipur–Lucknow road that passes via Azamgarh, Sultanpur and Faizabad. The main farming market of Ghazipur city is in Jangipur. The town is well connected to Ghazipur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and other local cities such as Mau, Azamgarh, Ballia, Jaunpur etc. since the arrivel of Sadat from Tirmiz (Arabia) to Zangipur, Zangipur has been the center of great ulma and scholars
