James Squire (beer)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
James Squire is an Australian brand of beer owned by Lion Nathan and produced by the Malt Shovel Brewery in Sydney. It is available in most Australian retailers nationwide and year round. The beer is named after the convict brewer James Squire, who is said to have created Australia's first commercial brewery. This history features heavily in packaging and marketing materials.

  • Chancer Golden Ale is an English-style Summer Ale, created with toasted grains of wheat and barley, combined with new season Amarillo hops. Alcohol content: 4.5%
  • Four Wives Pilsener is brewed using Pale and Munich malts, Saaz hops and lager yeast. James Squire Pilsener is the company's most awarded beer. Alcohol content: 5.0%
