James Nyamweya

James Nyamweya (born 28 December 1927 - 1996) was a Kenyan politician who served as Foreign Minister from 1967-1968.
Nyamweya was born in Kisii, Kenya and educated at King's College London where he look an LLB in law in 1958. During his studies he served as a Barrister-at-Law at Lincoln's Inn. He served as Kenyan Foreign Minister from 1967-1968.
He served as the MP of the Nyaribari Constituency (now disestablished) from 1963 to 1976 representing the KANU party.[1]
After the multiparty system was revoked in Kenya in 1992, James Nyamweya led the newly found Democratic Party in the Kisii area.[2] His son George Nyamweya later served as the Secretary General of DP.
Nyamweya died in 1996.[3]
