James George Leckie (9 October 1903 1982) was a New Zealand track and field athlete who competed at the 1938 British Empire Games where he won the bronze medal in the men's hammer throw, and was the flagbearer at the opening event. He was also due to compete in the discus but did not start the event. Twelve years later at the 1950 Commonwealth Games he placed 7th in the men's hammer throw.[1]
