James L. Reveal

James Lauritz Reveal (born 1941) is a botanist who is perhaps best known for his work on suprageneric names, presented in an extensive website, which also presents material on plant taxonomy including the Reveal system.[1] He also has published extensively on the North American flora and he is a member of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group where he is a contributing author.

Reveal is a professor emeritus at the University of Maryland, adjunct professor at Cornell University's Department of Plant Biology and honorary curator at the New York Botanical Garden.[2]
