James L. "Jim" Dutcher was the 23rd head football coach for the Doane College Tigers located in Crete, Nebraska and he held that position for ten seasons, from 1942 until 1951. His coaching record at Doane was 52 wins, 28 losses, and 5 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him third at Doane in total wins and sixth at Doane in winning percentage (.641).[1]
Dutcher led his team to a victory in the 1950 Bean Bowl by a score of 14 to 6[2] on November 23, 1950.[3]
