James Hiroyuki Liao is an American television, film and theatre actor.
Early life
Liao was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and is a 2004 graduate of the Juilliard School's drama division. He also studied at the Marjorie Ballentine Studio. In his acting work, he has also been credited as James Liao. His father is Taiwanese and his mother is Japanese.[1]
Career
Liao was starring in season four of Prison Break, as Roland Glenn. He has also done work on 24, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Bones, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and Law & Order. His stage work includes playing Song Liling (Butterfly) in Washington DC's Arena Stage production of M. Butterfly.[2] He has also appeared in the 2008 Jennifer Aniston film, Management.[1]
He was also a student at The Marjorie Ballentine Studio. During his time there, Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre of Prison Break) was in the same class as him. In the 4th season of Prison Break, they both played characters alongside each other.
