Jaitpur is a village and a Gram panchayat under Barahiya Tehsil in Lakhisarai district of Bihar, India.[1] It is situated on the bank of river Ganges at a distance of 3.5 km from Barahiya, 15.5 km from Lakhisarai and 117 km distance from Patna.[2]

Jaitpur is well connected to other cities in India via the NH 80 which passes through this village. The Gangasari Halt Railway station is near the village. The main railway station is Barahiya which is about two kilometres away.[citation needed]

The village consists of two schools where students from the neighbouring villages also come for studies.in this village 95% people are educated.
