Jacques Vert

Jacques Vert Group Ltd^[1] is a British fashion houses and womenswear concession retailer.

Jacques Vert Group is in over 470 outlets in the UK, Europe and Canada and has nine brands including: Windsmoor, Kaliko, Jacques Vert, Precis Petite, Planet, Minuet Petite, Alexon, Eastex and Dash.

The company was originally founded in 1972 by Jack Cynamon and Alan Green, two tailors from the East End of London. In 1977 they created a range of co-ordinated fashion and combined their names and adding a French twist, creating the Jacques Vert brand and public company.

The company, expanded into a multi-branded fashion-retailing group in December 2002 with the acquisition of William Baird PLC^[2] which added three further womenswear labels – Planet, Precis Petite and Windsmoor. In 2010 the company launched a multi-brand outlet website: Just Last Season.

Jacques Vert (trading since 1972) and Irisa group (trading as Alexon since 1929) merged to become the Jacques Vert Group Ltd in 2012. Teresa Tideman was appointed from Disney Stores Europe (where she had been Senior VP and Joint MD) to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Jacques Vert Group Ltd from March 2013.

The company was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange until 2010, when it was acquired by Sun Capital Partners.^[3] The Head Office is based in Islington, London. Support operations, including warehousing, are located in Bowburn and Seaham in the North East of England.

The company operates internationally in Canada, Germany, Belgium and Ireland, trading in over 470 stores. In the UK, stockists include:Debenhams, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Independent Department Stores (AIS), as well some standalone brand stores. In Canada the company mainly trades out of The Bay Department store.
