Jacopo Godani

Jacopo Godani is an Italian-born, dancer-choreographer.[1]

Dance career

Jacopo Godani began studying classical ballet and modern dance techniques at the Centro studi Danza of La Spezia, under the direction of Loredana Rovagna. He has also pursued studies at the Fine Arts High School of Carrara and was accepted to further his studies at Maurice Béjart's international dance centre, Mudra in Bruxelles, Belgium.

Godani made his professional debut performing with several Paris based contemporary dance companies and international choreographers. He collaborated with William Forsythe (dancer) on the choreographic creation of many Ballett Frankfurt's most representative pieces.

Godani has created original works for the Ballett Frankfurt, Rotterdamse Dansgroep, IT DANSA in Barcelona, Ballett Nürnberg, Sweden's Göteborg Ballet, Karlsruhe Oper Ballet, the Royal Ballet Covent Garden in London, Nederlands Dans Theater 2 in The Hague, Ballett des Landestheater Linz, Ballet du Rhin in France, and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet.
