From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jacob van Es (c. 1596 – 1666) was a Flemish Baroque still life painter active in Antwerp. His restrained ontbijt (breakfast) pieces share many similarities to contemporaries Osias Beert and Clara Peeters, and typically show various foods on a sharply angled table in the foreground.
