Jaco Grobler (born 11 June 1992 in Port Elizabeth) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with the Eastern Province Kings.[1] His regular position is scrum-half.

Career

Youth

He played for Eastern Province at youth level, representing them at the Under–16 Grant Khomo Week in 2008 and at the Under-18 Craven Week in 2010.

Leopards

He played for the Leopards U19 team in the 2011 Under-19 Currie Cup competition, starting all twelve their matches. In 2012, he was included in the senior squad for the 2012 Currie Cup First Division competition.[2] He made his Currie Cup debut for the Leopards on 30 June 2012 in their opening match of the season against the Pumas[3] and eventually made fourteen appearances in the competition, scoring two tries.[4]

He made two starts in the 2013 Vodacom Cup competition and also represented local university side the NWU-Pukke in the 2013 Varsity Cup competition,[5] making five appearances and scoring two tries.[6] After making four appearances in the 2013 Currie Cup First Division season, he then joined the Leopards U21 side for their 2013 Under-21 Currie Cup campaign.[7]

Eastern Province Kings

He returned to Port Elizabeth to rejoin the Eastern Province Kings for 2014.[8]
